‘U-Hire have provided us with some excellent candidates over the past couple of years.  They really know our business and the kind of people we’re looking for.  They don’t act like some recruitment agencies do – everything’s totally above board and they’re not just out to earn their fee – instead they work with us as partners in the business, helping us source the right people to enable us to take the company forward.’

Press Release, Nov 2009 U-Hire Move into Ethical Green Offices in Bath

U-Hire Recruitment are moving into the Green Park Station South Vaults owned by the Ethical Property Company PLC who specialise in office space for charities, social enterprises and community and campaign groups  so that they can share skills and ideas.

U-Hire launched 18 months ago and the Owner, Becki Sumsion, says that she saw a gap in the market:

“I wanted to bring an honest, transparent and forward thinking agency to Bath and surrounding area and it has proven to be a very successful move.  We have already built a lot of successful relationships with local clients and candidates who share the same moral and ethical values.”

Before being allocated space in the ‘green’ offices in Bath, U-Hire Recruitment had to show that they were committed to working ethically and in an eco-friendly way . The agency operates a ‘paper-free’ system, journals and literature are read on-line rather than received through the post and staff are encouraged to compost food waste and walk to work.

Becki Sumsion says:

“We have taken considerable steps to streamline systems and processes to reduce waste, our carbon footprint and ultimately our costs, which can and has been passed on to clients.  We hope that this move goes some way to improving the reputation that recruitment agencies have.”

U-Hire Recruitment is also doing charitable work in the local community. This financial year the team have already raised over £1000 for the British Heart Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
